Re: Remodeling Dispute

BEING A LICENSED CONTRACTOR WE ARE ALLOWED TO ASK FOR MONEY UPFRONT DUE TO THE PREVIOUS PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED WHERE CUSTOMERS DO NOT PAY THE CONTRACTOR ONCE THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED. THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL ISSUES THAT I HAVE HAD TO BRING UP TO MY ATTY ABOUT CUSTOMERS NOT BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE REMAINING BALANCE. IF THERE IS A LAW OUT THERE AGAINST CONTRACTORS ASKING FOR MONEY UPFRONT, THAN THERE SHOULD BE A LAW FOR CUSTOMERS TO BE PROSECUTED FOR NON-PYMT TO THE CONTRACTOR ONCE COMPLETE.
