Re: General McChrystal Relieved of Command

Please try to get the headlines correct - if the President accepted the resignation offered by General McChrystal, then the General was NOT relieved of command. The Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Chief of Staff of the Army all have the authority to suggest command changes within their own areas. Being releived of command is a career killer but being reassigned - as in a Change of Command - is not.
