These increases in gas prices would not be too much of a problem for us in ELP if 1) the personal income of ELP residents was higher 2) the city would offer a faster more efficient mass transportation system like a light rail line or the likes of it. You don't see people in NYC or even Chicago worry too much about this (gas prices going up), since both cities offer better pay and excelent mass transportation systems.
