Holloman AFB, NM - An airman who died at Holloman Air Force Base last week has been identified as 41-year-old Master Sergeant William Gales.
He was pronounced dead on May 6. Holloman is not saying how he died nor is the base releasing any details on the circumstances surrounding his death.
Gales was assigned to the 49th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron where he served as the end of runway supervisor.
"Members of Team Holloman are saddened by the loss of one of our own," said Col. Jeff Harrigian, 49th Fighter Wing commander. "Kathy and I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. They should know we are grateful for his service to the Air Force, his country and Team Holloman. He will be missed."
Gale's death remains under investigation.
