Students at UTEP got a blast from the past today. The student alumni association dug up and opened a 10-year-old time capsule today. Inside a number of UTEP memorabilia like a cow bell, Christmas stocking and event tickets.
This year's president, Danielle Riddick, says it's important to keep this tradition going. "I think it's amazing to see how UTEP has grown, to see how the Student Alumni Association has grown because we are keepers of tradition, it's just so important for us to do it, and we just feel honored to be able to have done it successfully," said Riddick.
This year's group will put their own items in a capsule for the class of 2020 to dig up.
