El Paso - The El Paso County Courthouse is back in business today after a bomb threat shut down the building on Friday.
Law enforcers evacuated the courthouse Friday morning and called in the bomb squad after a clerk from County Court #1 received a phone call from a man stating there was a bomb somewhere in the courthouse.
Details of the message are not being released.
Fort Bliss bomb K-9's were called after a security sweep turned up nothing.
Two dogs alerted their handlers to the basement/kitchen area but investigators now think the K-9's were reacting to some chemicals in the kitchen.
The courthouse was declared safe around 5:30pm.
The investigation now centers on who called in the bomb threat.
