El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — To E-Verify, or not to E-Verify?
That could be a question to come up in the race to the Texas Governor's mansion.
The system, free to use for employers and potential employees, compares the job applicant's Form I-9 to data from U.S. Dept. of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration to make sure the applicant can work legally in the United States.
