Las Cruces, NM (KTSM) — A Las Cruces school prinicpal and a P.E. teacher are taking enthusiasm for their students to new heights, by camping out on the roof of their school.
Central Elementary school principal Eloise Solis and P.E. teacher Tommy Esparza made a promise to students that they'd camp on the roof if the kids met a big fundraising goal in their annual pennies for patients campaign to benefit the New Mexico Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
And they did it, raking in more than $1500. That easily surpasses their goal. Mrs. Lozano's class raised the most money and won a pizza party.
