EL PASO, Texas -- Home buyers in El Paso are scrambling to take advantage of the government's $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers before the offer expires on Friday.
The Greater El Paso Association of Realtors says it's seen an increase in home sales over the last few weeks because of the tax credit.
Buyers must sign a contract by the end of this week and complete a transaction by June to qualify for the tax deal.
