El Paso, TX — Chapin quarterback Seth Gonzales and Parkland discus thrower Anthony Dudley are heading to Division One. Gonzales signed to play football in West Point at Army, while Dudley signed to throw at UTEP.
"Coaching wise and practice wise, the training... The way they train, it's really great. I went to visit, the environment around there, I really liked it a lot," said Dudley. He is a two-time state qualifier and three time district champion.
"It's everything I can hope for and wanted, this entire process, the most important thing has been academics, being able to establish myself for a career afterwards, West Point gives me all of that and more. The ability to play football is a dream come true, it's a bonus, and it is everything I could hope for in this situation," said Gonzales. Gonzales accounted for 4100 total yards and 37 total touchdowns as a dual threat quarterback with the Huskies in 2013.
