El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Allison Brownell Tirres, J.D., Ph.D., assistant professor at DePaul University College of Law, will give a talk titled “Deportation and its Discontents: Reflections on a Century of Immigration” as part of The University of Texas at El Paso’s Centennial Lecture Series.
The lecture will be held Monday, February 3rd at 11:45am at El Paso Natural Gas Conference Center, UTEP campus.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Tirres is an expert on immigration, citizenship and property law in both historical and contemporary perspectives.
As part of UTEP’s Centennial in 2014, the Centennial Lecture Series invites noteworthy speakers to the UTEP campus to share their perspectives on a broad range of contemporary issues that are likely to impact our society, culture and lives in the years ahead.
