WEST EL PASO — A medical transport helicopter owned by Air Methods made a precautionary landing in the GECU parking lot at Resler and Helen of Troy Wednesday morning at approximately 9 a.m.
El Paso Police secured the area and directed traffic.
A spokesperson for Air Methods said the aircraft landed after a warning light alerted pilots to land as soon as possible. A mechanic arrived to fix the problem and the helicopter was able to take off again just before 2 p.m.
Nobody was injured and no patients were on board.
