A teen suffered a 1st degree burn after his house caught fire Thursday morning.
El Paso firefighters were called to the home on the 100 block of Palla in the lower valley around 10:45 a.m. Monday. Two women and a child escaped after neighbors told them the house was on a fire.
Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out, but they said a 19- year-old man was taken to the hospital after getting a burn on his forehead. He was released a short time later.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but investigators say it started in an outside storage shed, and then spread to the home. Damages are estimated at $40,000.
