CD. JUAREZ, CHIH (KTSM) — Expect to pay more the next time you shop in Juarez. Mexico is raising its sales tax rate in border cities to match the rest of the country. That means shoppers will now pay a 16 percent tax instead of 11 percent. The increase has sparked large protests across Mexico.
