El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso is seeing fewer flu cases this year, despite a spike in activity in 10 states, including Texas.
The city's Department of Public Health is reporting 444 confirmed cases in the El Paso area this month. That's down from more than 1700 cases in December of last year.
The Department of Public Health does, however, expect those numbers to rise, and they're reminding residents to practice the "4 C's."
1. Clean your hands often
2. Cover your cough
3. Contain germs by staying clear of others who are sick
4. Call a doctor if you or your child has a fever of greater than 100 degrees
