Cd. Juárez, Mexico — Drivers won't get to use a long awaited tunnel beneath Downtown Juarez any time soon.
City officials are delaying the project until federal transportation officials address several concerns with the project.
The city says there's not enough ventilation in the tunnel or emergency respirators for crews should they have to respond to an accident. This is in addition to structural concerns.
The multi-million dollar tunnel project is aimed at alleviating traffic downtown.
