El Paso, TX (KTSM) — A police canine helped officers find a man suspected in a hit and run crash in El Paso's Lower Valley Saturday morning.
El Paso Police suspect the man was drunk when he was traveling on North Loop and ran a red light at the intersection of Hunter at 2:25 a.m. Saturday.
Police said the man crashed his Isuzu SUV into a Chevy Malibu that was turning from Hunter onto North Loop.
The driver of the Malibu suffered serious injuries and is said to be in critical condition at an area hospital. A passenger in the Malibu was also taken to the hospital.
The driver of the SUV ran away from the scene of a crash. A police canine found the man hiding behind a nearby home.
He was arrested and police said charges are pending.
The man has not been identified.
