El Paso, TX — UTEP football’s Autrey Golden and Jordan Leslie garnered Phil Steele’s 2013 Postseason All-Conference USA team honors on Friday.
Sophomore Golden was named to the second team, while junior Jordan Leslie received third team honors.
This season Golden ranks 11th nationally in kickoff return average (27.9) and is tied for second in kickoff returns for touchdowns (two). He is also tied for second among active FBS players with four kickoff returns for touchdowns and his 28.1 career kickoff return average is ranked ninth among current players. This is Golden’s second award of the season. Earlier this season, the sophomore was named to the 2013 C-USA second team.
Leslie compiled eight career 100-yard receiving games, tying for the eighth-most in school history. The wide receiver ranks ninth in C-USA in receiving yards per game (51.0) and 58th nationally in receiving touchdowns. The junior registered three consecutive showings this season with 100-yards receiving. Leslie led the team in receiving yards and touchdowns. This is the Houston, Texas natives second honor of the season. Previously, he was named All-C-USA honorable mention team.
