El Paso, TX (KTSM) — School zone safety flashers altering motorists of pedestrians are now active near Coldwell Elementary in Central, the City of El Paso Department of Transportation (EPDoT) announced today.
The installation of school zone safety flashers at Altura Avenue and Boone Street was completed this week.
The project cost approximately $50,000 and was funded by the El Paso Independent School District.
EPDoT worked with administrators at the campus and its respective school district to develop the plan for the project.
School zone safety flashers are intended to alert motorists of the school zones and draw attention to pedestrians and school zone speed limits.
