El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Help is on the way.
Tim Floyd can smile, knowing Chris Sandifer will be playing for the Miners next year. The UTEP recruit scored 51 points for Taft High School on Friday leading his team to an 89-62 win against Long Beach Cabrillo.
Those 51 points are three away from the Taft school record set by former UCLA Bruin and Los Angeles Laker Jordan Farmar.
Sandifer signed a letter of intent with UTEP in November and the 6-6 guard is rated as a four star recruit.
