Abilene, Texas (CNN) — "Closed for attitude adjustment." That's what the sign says out front of one Texas restaurant.
The owner of the Schlotzky's Deli and Cinnabon in Abilene decided to temporarily close when he noticed a decline in customer service.
"The food was always good because of the Schlotzky's product is second to none, and can't be duplicated, but the other part, to any restaurant, is the service that is given with the product, and that had gotten to the point, where i felt like it couldn't be fixed with just a day or two of retraining," said John Herod, the restaurant's owner.
Although the sign says the restaurant will re-open on the 4th, that date has been moved back.
Herod says the attitude adjustment will take more time than he thought.
He plans to reopen on the 9th.
