EL PASO--- A Child Protective Services spokesman says a baby abandoned at a West side fire station last fall is nearing adoption.
The little girl, whose name hasn't been released, was left at the doorstep of Fire Station 22 in September, in accordance with the Baby Moses law.
Now the baby may soon be adopted by her foster parents, said CPS spokesman Paul Zimmerman.
According to Zimmerman, the process has taken this long because there is a waiting period after parental rights have been terminated by a court.
