El Paso, TX (KTSM) — It may be one of the most frustrating things motorists in El Paso encounter. Drivers in the fast lane, going slow.
There's a law for that -- and also a problem. Motorists are supposed to drive in the right lane if surrounding traffic is going at a much higher rate. But most El Pasoans are unaware of this law.
"If you're going to be traveling below the speed limit, we do recommend that you do move out of the left lane and the reason for that is there could be emergency vehicles that need to get through or other vehicles that may be traveling at a higher speed," Detective Mike Baranyay with the El Paso Police Department explained.
