LAS CRUCES, N.M. — The new intermodal transportation facility in Las Cruces has a name a name after councilors voted in favor of selecting one of many suggestions made by the community.
The $3.6 million facility will be known as the "Mesilla Valley Intermodal Transit Terminal" or MVTTT for short.
The city had asked for community input in naming the center and received 49 suggestions over a five month period.
The facility will house the city's bus service as well as the Greyhound terminal and other transportation services off of Alameda and Amador.
The terminal will begin operating in about a month.
