El Paso - Gilbert Sanchez says he saw it coming.
Voters ousted him by a wide margin and elected Norma Favela as his replacement for District Clerk in Tuesday's runoff election.
Sanchez has been plagued by a variety of legal problems.
He faces trial soon on a conspiracy charge that accuses him of helping rig a county bid.
Sanchez talked to NewsChannel 9 from his home in Far East El Paso.
