El Paso, TX (KTSM) — You may be able to pull up a picnic blanket and your laptop at Ascarate Park in the future. County Commissioners are looking to provide Wi-Fi for park visitors.
Commissioner Sergio Lewis presented the agenda item at Monday’s meeting. County Judge Veronica Escobar also suggested adding Wi-Fi to the Sports Park Complex as well as rural parks.
But first, the county will conduct a feasibility study to determine the costs and construction that may be involved with providing Wi-Fi at parks.
The county will revisit the issue in two months.
