The operator of a ride that injured five people at the North Carolina State Fair is expected to appear in court today (Monday).
Timothy Dwayne Tutterrow is charged with three felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Witnesses say the "Vortex" ride restarted as people were getting off last Thursday. Investigators determined the ride had been tampered with and "critical safety devices were compromised." Authorities say more arrests are possible.
