EL PASO (KTSM) — A 9-year-old girl was in the hospital after police said a driver hit them in Northeast El Paso and didn’t stop to help.
The girl was riding her bike on Debeers and Kellogg at about 5:45 p.m. Sunday when a driver in a red Dodge truck hit her.
Police said the driver got out of the truck, but got back inside and drove off. He was seen heading towards Kenworthy.
According to the El Paso Fire Department, paramedics took the 9-year-old to University Medical Center with serious injuries.
However, police on the scene told us she was in stable condition.
Police said the driver was in a red Dodge truck that is missing the front grill. He's described as a white man, 5 feet 8 inches tall.
