LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Two candidates running for city council in Las Cruces are back on the ballot after a hearing on Tuesday.
David Roewe running for District 5 and Bev Courtney running for District 3 were not initially on the ballot after failing to meet certification requirements.
A judge ruled in their favor and both were added Wednesday at the start of absentee voting.
The city clerk said a handful of absentee ballots were issued with stickers for both candidate's names.
Those ballots will be counted by hand but new ballots with all candidates have already been made.
Early voting starts October 16th and election day is November 5th.
