A Borderland favorite has its own day. Friday is National Taco Day!
As locals know, a taco is a traditional Mexican dish made with chicken, beef, vegetables or seafood.
The filling is folded inside a soft or hard tortilla and topped with garnishes like salsa, cheese or avocado.
According to the National Taco Day web site, Americans ate 4.5 billion tacos last year.
That equates to about 490,000 miles of tacos, which could reach to the moon and back.
