El Paso, Texas (KTSM) — A woman once arrested for conning several parents with a princess party scheme, was once again booked into jail Friday night.
NewsChannel 9 cameras caught Laura Gonzalez, 41, being brought in to the El Paso County Detention Facility for booking
Deputies arrested Gonzalez back in August 2009 for taking money for parties, and never showing up, in her "Once Upon a Princess Party" business.
She served time in jail, and was released in 2010.
She then was arrested three years later, accused of stealing at least $20,000 worth of items including jewelry from a woman who hired her for housekeeping work.
After bonding out, she didn't show for court, and since April deputies have been seeking her arrest.
Friday, deputies were tipped off that she was in a silver vehicle at a convenience store near Piedras and Van Buren streets.
Deputies say she was getting help from strangers, who did not know she was wanted.
"If somebody comes up to you looking for help, you have the tendency of helping people in need," said Det. Mario Marquez with the El Paso Co. Sheriff's Office.
Gonzalez was wanted on five old warrants and a new charge, theft of property.
She is booked in the jail on a $123,000 bond.
