LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Jack Key KIA presented the Muscular Dystrophy Association with a check Friday morning for more than $10,000 after an August fundraiser.
The dealership donated $200 for every new or used car sold during a three-day fundraising event.
"We could not do what we do for the families or offer the services that we offer without the help from people like Jack Key KIA," said Executive Director Kathleen Born, of MDA El Paso and Southern New Mexico Rio Grande Chapter.
As a part of the fundraiser Jack Key KIA General Manager Joe Zaremba spent the entire three days on a scissor lift to help raise money.
"We've had a lot of success with the Jack Key Auto Group so we said let's go a step further and let's give back a little," said Zaremba.
Zaremba said he was very pleased to see the community support such a worthy cause.
