San Elizario, TX (KTSM) — It's a sight no parents expect, or want their children to see. A man allegedly walked between the buses at Alarcon Elementary School in San Elizario last week and exposed himself as students were getting on the bus.
One grandparent says she's worried for her grandaughter.
"I think we need to be alert all of us that live here in San Elizario and lets see if we can identify who this person is," said Maria Covernal.
Parents say they were notified shortly after the incident Friday.
The San Elizario school district says it's taking precautions to protect the schools 739 students, and sent us this statement:
"The quick actions of campus staff and the sheriffs office ensured that the situation was kept under control and that any further incidents did not occur. these actions included ensuring that students who were walking home or waiting to be picked up were kept safe," said Cynthia P. Marentes, the Communications Officer for San Elizario Independent School District.
In light of the incidents, officials say this week coaches and the school counselors will be providing "stranger danger" presentations to students.
