El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Construction is set to begin at the end of the month for a new westside park.
The property currently consists of a concrete slab, driveway, and sidewalks for what used to be a single family home.
Construction crews install a new basketball court and playground equipment and clear out the concrete slab out what used to be a home.
City officials will hold the community meeting about the project on Thursday, August 22, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. at Putnam Elementary school on 6508 Fiesta drive.
Funding for the project comes from 2012 quality of life bonds approved by voters.
