El Paso - They are one of the very best choirs in El Paso.
And this summer, they will have the chance to show that talent when they perform at the Vatican.
They sing in all the languages.
They sing in French, German, English, Italian.
Anything that they might need to communicate in song with overseas.
The Young Ladies Choir is the top choir in the El Paso Choral Society.
They are good enough to have been featured on National Public Radio's "From the Top."
"We decided we are going to take them on a tour of italy and they will be singing at the vatican and we will be leaving july 6th."
"It's never been a thought that I could think about this is the idea of me going to italy overall is not something that I thought I would do."
Victoria Rodriguez says it's been a lot of work preparing for this trip...
"We usually get a lot of repertoire to begin with because we are an elite choir but because we are going to a foreign country to represent El Paso and our names as well, we have been given a lot more difficult pieces a lot more French pieces."
The ten day tour is a chance of a lifetime and a chance for these young women to show the world and themselves what they are made of...3.
"I have found that music and education pretty much correspond because in a lot of ways because they both pretty much self sacrifice so that you can do what you need to do."
