A dust cropper pilot survived miraculously after a crash Tuesday morning in Santa Teresa.
New Mexico State Police and the Santa Teresa Fire Department responded to the incident on the 1100 block of Borderland Road around 9 a.m.
Officials said the pilot was flying too low leading to the plane flipping over in an alfalfa field.
The pilot suffered minor injuries and walked away from the crash scene. He was identified as James Ross, 62 of Las Cruces.
