EL PASO — An aggravated robbery at a Montana Walgreens was cut short after police said they stopped them as they walked on a nearby street.
The investigation revealed Carlos and Arlene Gonzalez, both 30, entered the store and concealed sleeping pills and a small candle and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items.They were stopped by store employees when the male suspect pulled a knife from his waistband threatened the employee to let them go.
They were found a short time later and arrested. Carlos faced charges of aggravated robbery. Arlene was booked on several outstanding warrants and aggravated robbery charges were pending. Officers did recover the knife and stolen property.
