A recent survey by free-credit-score-dot-com reveals bad credit can be a deal breaker when it comes love. About 30 percent of women and 20 percent of men surveyed said they would not marry someone with a low credit score.
Most respondents said money management skills are as important to them as looks when deciding on a future with someone. They worry a low credit score could hurt them when qualifying for a home loan, auto loan and lower interest rates.
The fear also extends to how irresponsible their partner would be with joint finances. This is especially true for women. Nearly all female responders ranked financial responsibility over career ambition, physical attraction and intimacy.
