El Paso, Texas — At least one of El Paso's two abortion clinics vows to stay open, despite the state's new law that places sweeping restrictions on abortions. A woman who answered the phone at Hill Top Women's Reproductive Center on Schuster Avenue tells Newschannel 9 the clinic has no plans to close. This, despite new legislation that would require abortion clinics to upgrade to ambulatory surgical centers by September of 2014. The representative at Hill Top did not elaborate. El Paso's other abortion clinic, Reproductive Services, could not be reached for comment.
