Austin, TX (NBC) — Since leading a Democratic filibuster that put her into the national political spotlight, Texas Senator Wendy Davis has continued to fight an abortion bill. However, since Governor Rick Perry's announcement that he isn't seeking re-election comes speculation that Davis could make a run for the seat, and Davis isn't ruling out the possibility.
"I have my hands so full right now with what we're doing on this bill. I hope to make a decision on that in the not-too-distant future," said Davis.
Davis is hitting the road with Planned Parenthood to try and drum up opposition to the abortion bills. She'll visit El Paso on Friday at 6 p.m. for a rally. A location has not yet been decided.
