El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Planned Parenthood is hitting the road and making a stop in El Paso, to drum up opposition to the abortion bills before the Texas legislature. According to State Senator Jose Rodriguez's office, State Senator Wendy Davis, along with Senator Jose Rodriguez, will participate in Planned Parenthood bus tour, which will make stops in several Texas cities including El Paso, Dallas, and Houston. Davis has recently become a national figure in the fight against an abortion ban, after her 13 hour filibuster in the Texas Senate.
The rally here will happen Friday at 6 p.m., although the location has yet to be announced. There are no Planned Parenthood clinics in the Borderland.
