Mexico City, Mexico — Move over America, Mexico is now the fattest country in the world. According to a new report released by the United Nations, Mexico has a 32.8% adult obesity rate. That's the highest in the world, just one percentage point above the United State's 31.8% rate.
Childhood obesity has tripled over the last decade in Mexico, and 70,000 die in the country every year from diabetes. Experts cite the spread of junk food and a more sedentary lifestyle behind the spike in obesity.
