Tecumseh, Ohio (NBC) — We're learning new information tonight about a close call in the sky Sunday night.
A Spirit Airlines Jet, that had just taken off from Detroit Metro Airport, had to do a sharp nosedive to avoid another plane.
The smaller plane had skydiving customers onboard and the planes came within 400 feet of each other.
The sharp nosedive was a nightmare for passengers onboard the Spirit Airlines Jet.
Nancy Roy, a passenger onboard the plane, recounted the tense moments.
"we just starting diving, like dropping and swerving and it was pretty apparent that we were trying to avoid something."
The aircraft landed safely in Dallas, Texas.
