For the second year in a row, Walmart is offering entrepreneurs a big opportunity. The retail giant is repeating its "get on the shelf" competition. It's a contest that gives U.S.-based small businesses, entrepreneurs or individual inventors a shot at getting their products on Walmart's store shelves.
Entrants can submit products in any category Walmart currently carries, including anything from toys and electronics to clothing and household goods.
Last year's contest drew more than five-thousand entries.This year, entries are due by July 31, 2013. Voters will choose five winners whose products will be sold on Walmart's website. Tthe product that gets the most pre-orders will be named the winner.
