LAS CRUCES, N.M. — Preparations are well underway for the 2013 Vans Warped tour in Las Cruces Wednesday.
The day-long festival features more than 80 bands performing on several outdoor stages at New Mexico State University's intramural fields.
Even with the high temperatures the tour is expecting big crowds and are well prepared for the heat.
"We have 40 to 60 medical people on site and plenty of free water once you get inside the site," said Director of Special Events Scott Breckner.
Fans will be allowed to bring in sealed water bottles that can be refilled at water stations inside the festival.
Officials said Tuesday afternoon more than 5,000 tickets have already been sold but there's still plenty available.
