El Paso, TX (KTSM) — The trial for a man accused of stabbing and killing an 18-year-old man at a house party in Northeast El Paso started on Monday.
Luis Ramos, 24, is charged with murder in the death of Angel Garcia, who was 18 when he died in November of 2009.
Today, the jury got their first look at the crime scene.
Investigators said blood stains marked the sidewalks in front of the home where the stabbing took place.
The victim cousin took the stand to testify for the prosecution. He told the jury about the tense moments leading up to the stabbing and says no one knew Garcia had been stabbed until after the fight was over.
If convicted, Garcia faces five to 99 years in prison. The trial resumes tomorrow.
