Doña Ana County (KTSM) — County officials warned water users within the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority to immediately begin conserving water after a well failure. A well within the City of Sunland Park has gone out of service, which could mean system-wide water outages as early as this evening, county officials said.
The well could be repaired as early as tomorrow, however utility users are advised to immediately implement and maintain a strict conservation schedule until the well repairs have been confirmed and the system is once again fully pressurized.
The Camino Real Regional Utility Authority provides water service for the City of Sunland Park and most of the unincorporated areas in and around the Santa Teresa County Club and the Santa Teresa Port of Entry. The outages and conservation warnings apply to all users of the system.
Questions and concerns can be directed to the Camino Real Regional Utility Authority offices at (575) 589-1075.
