El Paso, TX (KTSM) — Voters will head to the polls Saturday to elect a new mayor, and the two candidates are doing everything they can to sway last minute voters. Oscar Leeser handily defeated Steve Ortega in the general election by more than 20 percentage points, but failed to capture a majority of the vote.
Both candidates are visiting our KTSM studios in the days leading up to the election to discuss why they should be elected. Friday we interviewed Oscar Leeser, and asked him what his platform really is, and if he would revisit the domestic partner benefits issue.
