El Paso, TX — Borderland residents observed this Memorial Day at a service at the Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. The service is to honor the servicemen and women who have given their lives in the defense of this country.
It began at 9 am and include the traditional 21 gun salute and firing of 75-millimeter Howitzer.
Visitors are encouraged to use either the walk in gate for pedestrians because the main entrance on Fred Wilson and gate to the cemetery will be closed. They can also use the Sheridan Gate for access to the cemetery.
