Well it seems there is an app for everything, but the latest may be able to help paramedics get vital information about heart attack patients to the hospital faster.
The experimental app takes an image of a patient's EKG result and sends it to emergency room doctors within six seconds. Traditional methods of sending this information could take up to minute. It could also fail if cell service is bad.
Patients who are suffering a heart attack caused by a blood clot need medication within thirty minutes of their heart attack, so researchers say getting EKG information to doctors faster will save lives.
